The Minnesota Financial Empowerment Initiative (MNFEI) seeks to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy and provide an educational foundation for life impacting decision making. We are focused on providing free, practical financial education to Minnesotans via volunteer facilitators and educators using high quality learner-focused curriculum.

Our Mission

A Shared Vision

In 2022, MNFEI initiated working relationships with financial literacy groups across the nation, including Financial Beginnings, Secure Futures and Babson Financial Literacy Project, to source and coordinate delivery of best-in-class financial literacy education within Minnesota.

MNFEI also works directly with other non-profit groups including the Goodwill and the Jeremiah Program to provide a wide range of services for our communities.

MNFEI operates as nonprofit corporation through a fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, a Maryland charitable trust, allowing MNFEI to accept 501(c)(3) qualified tax-deductible donations.

Our History

How Can We Serve You?

We aim to help people create more stable and secure lives for themselves and their families, grounded in better financial knowledge. We will reach individuals who would benefit most from basic financial information by partnering with non-profits, public entities and other community focused organizations who have strong relationships in their communities with immigrant, minority and underserved populations and schools.
